I opened my first restaurant and ran it for 16 years. A few years in, I opened a second one and ran both simultaneously for 9 years. Two locations, two staffs, two sets of problems, one owner.
On top of that, I spent 10 years in club promotions. Filling rooms, building buzz, getting people to show up on a Tuesday night when they had no reason to. That's not marketing theory. That's learning how to read an audience, create demand, and put bodies in seats when it matters.
I learned everything the hard way. How to hire and fire. How to negotiate with vendors who know you're desperate. How to survive a slow season without panicking. How to build systems that keep things running when you can't be in two places at once.
When I stepped back, I saw something that frustrated me. Business owners like me were getting terrible advice from agencies that had never managed a P&L, never made payroll, never dealt with a no-show employee on the busiest night of the year. They talked in impressions and clicks. I think in revenue and overhead.
I also spent years on the tech side as an IT support specialist and network admin. I've always been obsessed with technology and how it can solve problems. So when AI and automation started changing the game, I didn't just see the hype. I understood the infrastructure behind it.
I started X Digital Works to bridge that gap. I take what I learned from decades of running real businesses, combined with a genuine love for technology, and build growth systems that actually make sense for operators. Not flashy campaigns. Systems.
